wanda productions; an animation for french childrens tv channel, tiji. plus some fly shit with this lupe tee right here. yazzirp! done by guadalupe cos-gayon & miguel abio. you know y'all be diggenit ;)
this hits the wrong mark with me, especially when compared to jean's beautiful original concept work below. awkward final production. or maybe the animated girly-form just creeps me out too much.
above are two works by russian artist wassily kandinsky.
i am absolutely captivated by these two pieces.
each painting seems alive, as if the artist himself has captured the very energy of his being and placed it directly into the canvas, bringing a life that needs no form, no metaphorical 'second stage' that physical objects represent. instead, it seems to act as a document of his persona (at the time each piece was being made) through this method of abstraction. i find it similar to a number of pollock's ecstasy-infused paintings in where physical movements are documented through each uncontrollable paint splatter. very honest.
as i was eating my tiny funpack of skittles, i came across this very fine man, lorenzo petrantoni. not only is the site equipped with some absolutely darling music, his work (filled with intrinsic details & graphic sensibility) is quite the hotstuff.
